Great article….but something to keep in mind on a short sale. If you have two different lenders (ie a second loan), make sure they are from the same bank. For example, primary loan is with countrywide and secondary loan is with countrywide.

The reason for this is that more than likely the seconary lender will not work with you on the short sale. Reason: Simple, they won’t be getting back any of their money.

The primary may want to work with you…but without the secondary loan your home will not be sold through a short sale.

Oh I suffer from net withdrawal in the worst way. I have 3 screens in my office. 1 laptop and phone. I can always access the net but then again it’s my full time business.

The net is the doorway to the outside world. It brings the world that is distant right into your computer screen.

I would literally go crazy if I didn’t have my internet on a daily basis.

Building a business with my clients on a global basis is the way to go. It is the way for not only realtors but also E-commerce people like myself.

Thank you for your informative post on the missing square footage. I am a new condo owner in Montreal, Canada, who is suffering from a similar problem — in fact, every condo in my building seems to be short by 12-13% of the promised space at the time an offer to purchase was signed! I was wondering if you may have any idea as to how I should proceed in dealing with the situation in my geographic location.

Are metal roofs catching on in your market? Are they very common?

I have seen only a handful of them in Minnesota. I thought they looked great and it makes sense in a climate like ours where ice-damming on roofs is a common problem.

Cuba will be no more competion to Miami, than Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Naples or any other city. If anything, it will help Miami and Fort Lauderdale and the Florida Keys. Just imagine the traffic and Business Oppertunities between South Florida and Cuba. Miami Bi-Lingual Real Estate Brokers selling and renting properties in Cuba. Also, the Huge Export of Autos and Trucks , Junk Parts All types of Equipments, Backhoe, Loaders, Kitchen,Restaurant,Medical,ect,ect,ect.

Fantastico el reportaje.

I personally think that it will definitely give a big competition to the Miami market, specially for the big building corporation and hotel industry.

What I don’t see changing much will be the housing price. Not everyone is willing to buy a second home in an ex-socialist country, just out of fear.
